SACS 2024 (24.00.02), an offshore structural analysis application that offers fully automated and integrated 3D modeling, analysis and design to efficiently manage large, complex models for the evolving digitalization in the offshore market.

Span labeling and auto-incrementation
Display span ID labeling on members and auto-increment span IDs when assigning them for rapid definition of span elements.
Direction Loading for Enclosed Zones
Added a directional load for enclosed zone loading. Members that are not aligned with the selected local coordinate system of the enclosed zone will be automatically assigned as virtual members and excluded from the tributary area calculations and load distribution.

New dense Cholesky solver
Added a new dense Cholesky solver option for improved accuracy with near-indeterminant systems (Solve, Dynpac, PSI). Enhanced single-value decomposition solver to generate triangularization data necessary for some analysis workflows (PSI, Dynpac, Collapse). Also improved error handling to attempt an alternative fallback solver in the event of errors/non-convergence.

SACS is an integrated finite element structural analysis package of applications that uniquely provides for the design of offshore structures, including oil and gas platforms, wind farms, and topsides of FPSOs and floating platforms. SACS software has been used by offshore engineers around the world for nearly 40 years. Many of the world’s energy companies specify SACS software for use by their engineering firms across the lifecycle of offshore platforms. Three options of the SACS software packages are available: Offshore Structure Enterprise for comprehensive capabilities required for typical offshore jackets, wharfs, and dolphin structures; Offshore Structure Advanced for static topside and deck analysis; and Offshore Structure for static structural analysis
