CGTech VERICUT 7.4.1

VERICUT software simulates CNC machining and can be used to detect errors, potential collisions and inefficient machining areas. VERICUT allows CNC programmers to detect and correct errors before passing the program to the machine, so that test cuts of the workpiece can be avoided. vericut can also optimise the cutting speed of the CNC program for more efficient machining - even on high-speed milling!

Vericut 7.0 has also redesigned the tool manager to make Vericut's programme optimisation module - OptiPath - easier to use. Tool optimisation libraries will be set up in the Tool Manager, which not only simplifies the process, but also allows different tools to refer to the same optimisation library. The new Tool Assembly Wizard allows the user to create a new milling cutter in a simple user interface in the form of a dialogue box. If the user has already created a cutter in another tool library, the user can reference or copy the entire cutter, or the insert or shank, to create a new cutter.

The Vericut model export function has been enhanced in 7.0 with the ability to export CATIA V5, ACIS SAT and STEP models. The model export enables the creation of a CAD model in any Vericut analogue NC programme. The model contains various machining features such as holes, chamfers, radii, grooves, bosses, which are very accurate and identical to the actual machining features. In Vericut 6.2, the model output can output the features that can be generated, and the features that cannot be generated individually or that are bad (e.g. "craters" generated by a ball-end cutter) can be output as a composite feature. Other enhancements make model surfaces and boundaries smoother. The output file uses NURBS trimming curves to reduce file size.
