Concepts Nrec CAECAM 2015

Developed at Concepts NREC, this is the only commercially available turbomachinery design system that encompasses and integrates the complete engineering process through a complementary suite of tools and programs for computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). Integrated elements of the system include preliminary design and detailed design, plus sophisticated analyses that include rapid CFD and FEA. The system also offers best-in-class, specialized 5-axis machining software, automated optimization, and a smooth transfer of data to CAD packages.

This program is used for detailed 3D geometric design and for rapid flow analysis of multistaged axial and radial turbomachinery through streamline curvature. AxCent employs powerful features for axial, mixed-flow, and radial geometries that can be combined to design almost any turbomachinery.
- PumPal (version 8.4.4.0 32bit)
A meanline approach is used to design centrifugal and mixed-flow pumps with single and multiple stages. PUMPAL is used to design the stage, analyze performance, refine the parameters with data reduction, and model the machine according to several performance models. PUMPAL's unique Design Wizard leads the user through all the necessary steps for design, analysis, and data reduction. The meanline pump design can easily be sent to the AxCent program for further blade design and fluid dynamic analysis.
