EPLAN Engineering Configration One 2.9. This software lets you map your product portfolio into a modular system with interdisciplinary functional units. Using this as a foundation, EEC offers you the possibility of linking configurations and automatically generating engineering documentation.

What's new in EPLAN Engineering Configuration (EEC) 2.9

Total Eclipse! New EEC Infrastructure
EEC is now based on a current version of Eclipse. OpenJDK is the open-source implementation – part of the EEC installation – being used for the Java Runtime Environment. The new handling of the optional extensions means you can easily add or remove them via the application, ensuring you always have a clear overview.

Your Added Value
- You benefit from the improved stability and utilisation of the current range of functionality, increased transparency and easier handling of the optional extensions.

Overview of EEC’s Additional Features and Added Value

Transparency and Security for Changes
With the display of the product version number and the data storage currently in use, you never lose sight of this information. In addition to this display in the header, there are also security measures included to protect against data loss in read-only operation.

More Ease of Use for Modelling
By separating calculation errors into the “wrong” structure, you can now identify syntax formula errors more quickly. This allows you to reduce the complexity of formulas and increase the quality of your models.

Expansion of the CoDeSys discipline
With the CoDeSys discipline, you can use the methods that are defined in the CoDeSys resources as objects in a model. This increases flexibility for generating CoDeSys codes.

New Functions in the Job Server
The Job Server expansion can be used for both automatic integration into existing system landscapes and automating actions defined in EEC. The expanded functionality supports you in introducing and using automation solutions.

EPLAN Engineering Configuration (EEC) allows you to map your product portfolio in a modular system with interdiscipli-nary functional units. This stable foundation makes the EEC your tool for designing and applying configuration interfaces and for automatically generating documentation. This inter-disciplinary working method integrates sales, order pro-cessing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and controls engineering as well as manufacturing and docu-mentation. Commissioning and maintenance of your prod-ucts become easier with the use of standardised and thus familiar structures.
