SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Professional V16 is a PC-based operator control and monitoring system for visualization and operator control of pro-cesses, production flows, machines and plants in all sectors – from simple single-user systems to distributed multi-user systems and cross-location solutions with web clients.

WinCC in the TIA Portal is the software for all HMI applications ranging from the simplest operation solutions with Basic Panels to SCADA applications on PC-based multi-user systems. With SIMATIC HMI operator devices, the runtime software is on-board. For PC platforms, SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Advanced and SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Professional are available as independent products.

SIMATIC WinCC Runtime Advanced (TIA Portal) - PC-based HMI solution for single-user systems directly at the machine. The range of functions of WinCC Runtime Advanced includes the centralized HMI components for visualizing and reporting, and it can be expanded to suit requirements and costs by using optional packages.

The WinCC Professional basic system is designed to be technology and sector-neutral, modular and flexibly expandable. It allows both single-user applications in mechanical engineering and complex multi-user solutions or even distributed systems with redundant servers and clients in plant engineering.
