STM32CubeMX 6.11.0
STM32CubeMX is a graphical tool that allows you to very easily configure STM32 microcontrollers and microprocessors, and generate the appropriate C initialization code for an Arm® Cortex®-M core or a partial Linux® device tree for an Arm® Cortex®-Kernel. through a step-by-step process.
The first step is to select either an STMicrolectronics STM32 microcontroller, microprocessor or development platform that matches the required set of peripherals, or an example running on a specific development platform.
For microprocessors, the second step allows you to configure GPIO and clock settings for the entire system, and interactively assign peripherals to either the Arm® Cortex®-M world or the Cortex®-A world. Special utilities such as DDR configuration and setup make it easy to get started with STM32 microprocessors. For the Cortex®-M core, the configuration includes additional steps exactly like those described for microcontrollers.
For Arm® Cortex®-M microcontrollers and microprocessor, the second step is to configure each required firmware using a pinout conflict resolver, a clock tree configuration assistant, a power consumption calculator, and a utility that configures peripherals (such as GPIO or USART) and intermediate stacks software (eg USB or TCP/IP).
Default software and middleware stacks can be extended with improved STM32Cube expansion packs. STMicrolectronics packages or STMicrolectronics partner packages can be downloaded directly from the dedicated package manager available in the STM32CubeMX, and other packages can be installed from a local drive.
Moreover, STM32CubeMX's unique utility, STM32PackCreator, helps developers create their own advanced STM32Cube expansion packs.
Ultimately, the user runs the generation corresponding to the selected configuration options. This step provides C initialization code for Arm® Cortex®-M, ready for use in multiple development environments, or a partial Linux® device tree for Arm® Cortex®-A.
STM32CubeMX comes with STM32Cube.
