NX 2412 Build 1700 (NX 2412 Series). With each new release of NX, we’re continuing to innovate, pushing the barriers of what product development systems can do. What’s new in NX 2412 Release

Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Leverage new capabilities within NX to efficiently design and validate your products. Here are a few to highlight:

Core Design now includes enhanced Sketch Checking to fix gaps, correct shapes, find small curves, and spot overlapping lines that stop you from finishing a sketch.
In Immersive Design , you can use the new Sony SRH-S1 headset and its controllers to access Immersive Designer. This tool goes beyond reviewing designs; it lets you create and edit data in real time within a virtual environment.
In Validation, the Checker Editor is designed to ensure that all designs meet specific rules and standards by providing automated, real-time validation. This tool enhances the efficiency and consistency of the design process, ensuring high-quality results with immediate feedback and corrections.

Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
The new release of NX CAM introduces advanced enhancements that streamline CNC programming, making it easier and more efficient.

Machine Powered Programming integrates machine tool capabilities directly into the programming process. Programmers can use the exact settings and parameters of the selected machine, simplifying the creation of efficient and error-free toolpaths, even for the most challenging multi-axis CNC operations.
Make Machining Suggestion enables you to fully program a feature by simply clicking on a face. For example, selecting the floor face of a pocket automatically programs the entire pocket using predefined operations.
Automatic Hole Machining leverages the full power of Feature-Based Machining to further automate programming, saving valuable time. Select one or multiple part faces with holes (such as a mold plate), and NX identifies all holes of various sizes and complexities, groups them, and creates optimized toolpaths to effectively machine them.
Cloud Connect Tool Manager uses cloud technologies to enhance the NX CAM tool library. It offers a simple and visual user experience, improving the management of machining data to streamline programming.
NX CAM On-Machine Probing now supports a wide range of Blum Novotest Quickstart and Renishaw Inspection+ measuring cycles for milling. It is compatible with various controls, including Fanuc, Haas, and Mazak.

Additive Manufacturing
In NX 2412, the Siemens commitment to driving additive manufacturing forward continues. Here are some of the enhancements that extend our additive manufacturing capabilities and help you save time and money.

Fixed Plane Additive now includes no-build zones that prevent parts from being positioned and nested in undesirable areas of the build tray, and a pre-print checker that identifies and reports potential print quality issues prior to printing, which avoids wasting valuable time and material. Finally, NX provides significant performance improvements for print jobs that contain a large number of serial numbers or print marks.
Multi-Axis Additive now identifies so-called docking passes for areas that are adjacent to previously-built geometry, and provides the ability to assign custom process parameters, like laser power. This is an extension to the build style framework that allows users to capture and control machine-specific and material-specific process parameters, known as the “secret sauce,” for individual segments of a multi-axis additive operation. OEM partners now have the ability to encrypt and distribute a process parameter database for their technology without having to expose their intellectual property. This gives users direct access to best manufacturing practices without the need for extensive trial and error prints, thus saving valuable time and material.
