 iTwin Capture Modeler 2024 Update 1 (24.1.0.560) is the desktop application that allows you to create engineering-ready reality data—such as reality meshes, classified point clouds, anonymized images, and orthophotos of any size and resolution—using any digital camera, scanner, or mobile mapping device.

What's New in iTwin Capture Modeler 2024 Update 1 (24.1.0.560)

- New job definitions for several analyses in tech preview (feature extractions): 3D Lines, 3D Objects, 3D from 2D objects, 3D from 2D segmentation …
. Breaking changes: older versions of those analyses are not fully supported anymore
- New analysis: Cesium 3d tiles are also supported as mesh inputs (when it applies)
- New reconstruction engine
. Fixed: flat surfaces are too noisy
. Fixed: loss of quality in vertical structure (i.e. towers)
. Removed “Focus on Roi” reconstruction option: not necessary anymore and handled by default

The new iTwin Platform capabilities will power Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, a set of solutions that span the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle and value chain, encompassing ProjectWise, SYNCHRO, and AssetWise, unified and made interoperable by Bentley’s infrastructure schemas.
iTwin Capture, for capturing, analyzing, and sharing reality data, enables users to easily create engineering-ready, high resolution 3D models of infrastructure assets using drone video and survey imagery from any digital camera, scanner, or mobile mapping device. Infrastructure digital twins of any existing assets can accordingly start with reality modeling, rather than requiring a BIM model. iTwin Capture offers the highest-fidelity and most versatile means of capturing reality to serve as the digital context for surveying, design, monitoring, and inspection processes.
iTwin Capture Modeler is the photogrammetry desktop solution dedicated to small to mid-size projects. You can connect up to two iTwin Capture Modeler instances running on two different computers to execute parallelized processing and reduce your processing time.
